Here’s a clever way to make a shopping bag more eco-friendly: Design it so that it can be reused in multiple fun and practical ways. That’s what design firm happy did for their client Lee Jeans and the bags quickly became popular with shoppers.
As we know, plastice shopping bag has become a main problem about environment. The government of Italy has become the first in the European Union to outlaw the use of plastic bags by all retailers, signaling a large shift in a country which uses over 20 billion bags per year (400 per person) – an amount equal to 25 percent of the total produced and used in the entire EU.
The Italian environmental organization Legambiente estimates that the ban will save 180,000 metric tons of CO2 emissions per year and help save many of the 100,000 marine mammals that the UN Environmental Program estimates are killed every year by improper disposal of the bags. In a recent poll conducted by Legambiente which surveyed 20,000 consumers in 80 locations, more than 73 percent of respondents said they would prefer reusable bags if they could not use plastic. Only 16 percent said they would prefer bio-plastic, and 10 percent said they would prefer paper. While there are only a few cities (and few, if any, countries) with plastic bag bans in place, many businesses have reduced bag use significantly in the past year. IKEA has reduced plastic bag use by 90 percent by replacing free, plastic bags with low-cost reusable bags and the UK’s Marks & Spencer has reduced bag usage by 80 percent in less than one year.

Antistatic bag, used for shipping electronic components .
An antistatic bag is a bag used for shipping (usually electronic) components, which are prone to damage caused by electrostatic discharge.These bags are usually plastic (PET) and have a distinctive color (silvery for Metallised film, pink or black for polyethylene).
Bag-In-Box :In packaging, a Bag-in-Box or BiB is a type of container for the storage and transportation of liquids. It consists of a strong bladder (or plastic bag), usually made of several layers of metallised film or other plastics, seated inside a corrugated fiberboard box. The bag is supplied to the ‘filler’ as an empty pre made bag. The ‘filler’ then generally removes the tap, fills the bag and then replaces the tap. The bags are available as singles for semi-automatic machines or as web bags, where the bags have perforations between each one.
Bin bag, garbage bag, or trash bag:A bin bag, swag sack or bin liner (British English) or garbage bag, trash bag, refuse sack, or can liner (American English) is a disposable bag used to contain rubbish. Such bags are useful to line the insides of waste containers to prevent the insides of the receptacle from becoming coated in waste material. Most bags these days are made out of plastic, and are typically green or black in colour.
Book bag:A book bag is a durable bag, satchel, or backpack that is used to carry books and sometimes other supplies such as notebooks, ring binders, and file folders, particularly by students. Typical designs include backpacks, hand-carried briefcases, bags with drawstring closures that can be hand-carried or worn over one shoulder, and messenger bags that are typically worn over one shoulder.
Bulk bag, a name for a flexible intermediate bulk container:
A Flexible Intermediate Bulk Container, FIBC , big bag, bulk bag, or super sack is a standardized container in large dimensions for storing and transporting and storing for example sand, fertilizers , granules of plastics or other dry products. It is most often made of thick woven polyethylene or polypropylene and normally measures around 110 × 110 cm and varies in height from 100 cm up to 200 cm. Its capacity is normally around 1000 kg but the larger units can store even more. Transporting and loading is done on either pallets or by lifting it in loops. Bags are made with either one loop or four lifting loops. The single loop bag is suitable for one man operation as there is no need for a second man to put the loops on the loader hook. Emptying is made easy by a special opening in the bottom or by simply cutting it open.
